Mini National Archery: Odisha bag nine medals

A 12-member Odisha squad, comprising eight boys and four girls, bagged nine medals in the 8th Mini National Archery Championship, held at Dr KKR Gowtham School, Anandhapuram, Visakhapatnam from January 31 to February 5. Medals included one gold, five silver and three bronze.

According to Odisha Archery Association secretary Sradhanand Das, the lone gold medal was secured by the girls team, which included Lalita Khandapatra, Champa Hanhaga and Salge Soren. Lalita also pocketed three silver medals in individual events and another one in mixed event.

Kishore Kumar Gold was most successful archer among boys, winning two silver and three bronze medals. Odisha squad was accompanied by coach Rupesh Singh and manager Sarada Prasad Das.
